Referral Program Tips-Ideas

Ideas for referral program offerings

Looking for a creative way to thank your customers and boost sales? A rewards program is a perfect way to show appreciation while encouraging repeat business.

Here are a few fun, easy-to-implement ideas:

Referral Rewards

  • Discount Coupons: Offer a coupon (discount) for each successful referral that leads to a sale. The referrer could use the coupon towards their next order for digital downloads in your shop.
  • Exclusive Freebie: Create an exclusive clip art or design element set that only referral reward winners can access.
  • Referral Tiers: Offer higher rewards for more referrals, like a custom image set for those who bring in 5 or more new customers.

Social Media Sharing

  • Free Digital Downloads: Offer a special download (e.g., a seasonal image or fun sticker) when someone proves they have shared your shop or posts on their social media.
  • Entry into Monthly Giveaway: Create a monthly raffle where those who share your posts can win a free custom or exclusive image set.
  • Social Shout-Out: Feature them on your shop’s social media page, highlighting their support (and maybe a link to their shop if they have one).

Surprise Goodies for Reviews

  • Digital Freebie: Once a review is left, you can send a thank-you message with a surprise bonus digital item.
  • Loyalty Rewards: To encourage continued loyalty, offer a “thank-you” coupon code to surprise repeat customers who leave reviews.
  • Personalized Thank-You Note: Send a customized digital thank-you card featuring one of your unique designs to make them feel special without directly asking for reviews.

These rewards keep your customer interaction warm and genuine while encouraging word-of-mouth promotion.

NOTE: I’d love to have you all share any incentives/rewards you’ve used that went well with your clients. I’ll post updates after testing some of these ideas myself.

Off to the next thing…have a good one!
